The deductive paragraph is a Paragraph whose main sentence lies at the beginning of Paragraph. This paragraph begins with a general statement and then comes with specific explanations in the form of examples, special details, evidence and anything else. Since the deductive Paragraph is developed from a general statement, the sentence pattern is from general to specific. This paragraph explains general sentences that are general to more clearly or more extensivel.

Flood has been very frequent in Indonesia, especially in some regions in Indonesia for example in the capital city of Jakarta. This flood occurs due to several factors. The first factor is the lack of awareness of the community not to litter waste consequently that will lead to less water absorption, the second factor is a lot of logging and forest burning. Other factors are the residents who still live around the river flow and other erratic rainfall patterns.
